What BSM is about
The German Association for Solar Mobility was founded in 1989 by elctromobilists. Only a few of them used solar panels on car roofs, but all of them agreed to avoid emissions while driving. They still do, and it became a lot easier since regenerative energy is accessible for everybody, and electric vehicles are available in a good variety.
BSM is the Federal Association of Solar Mobility and became the German section of AVERE in 2012.
BSM supports environment-friendly transport systems by land, water and air since 1989. Originally focused on vehicles BSM’s mission has moved now towards system-oriented, sustainable mobility – taking a 360 degree view from public transport angle and improving modal split for example in urban areas.
The work of BSM is supported by its 400 members. Amongst those are several regional e-mobility associations and clusters.
